A pair of sixth-gen Chevy Camaros were recently photographed and filmed out in the open on separate occasions.

The first sighting was of a yellow Camaro SS on May 30, 2015, in and around the 11th Annual Michigan F-Body Meet & Greet event, while the second one was of another SS in a color that looks similar to the current model’s Red Rock metallic shade at the Superfast meeting.

It’s most likely that GM’s people or associated Chevy dealers brought both cars to these events, as the new Camaro coupe will not go on sale in North America until this fall.

A Convertible version of the new Camaro will reach dealers next spring as well.

Created from a clean slate, the new 2016 Camaro rides on a lighter architecture borrowed from the Cadillac ATS and CTS. In SS trim, it gets GM’s 6.2-liter LT1 V8 that premiered in the Corvette Stingray modified with Camaro-specific bits producing 455 horses and 455 lb-ft of peak torque, paired either to a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
