The Nürburgring Nordschleife was recently “invaded” by forty privately-owned , marking the largest ever gathering of the Ferrari supercar in Germany.

It was also the largest collection of F12 Berlinettas ever present on the “Green Hell”. Ferrari honored the event by sending Raffaele De Simone, Head of Ferrari Development Test Drivers, to join the track day.

Driving an F12 Berlinetta himself, De Simone led the first laps, showing clients the ideal racing line on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. He then drove hot-laps with individual Ferrari owners, allowing them to find out how to get the full potential out of their supercars.

“It’s been wonderful to interact and to receive such great feedback from each driver: they truly have the Italian passion. Today Ferrari has invaded the Grüne Hölle!” De Simone said.

As part of the event, each Ferrari F12 Berlinetta owner was able to drive an average of 15 laps on the Nordschleife. Obviously, they found the F12 Berlinetta was the perfect tool to master the fearsome track. As one owner said: “The F12 Berlinetta on the track shows all its power. They’re perfectly made for each other!” We’ll just have to take his word for it.
