By bringing us the C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition and limiting it to just 10 units, Mercedes-Benz South Africa is keeping our passion for naturally aspirated V8 engines alive.

Yes, this right here is the last naturally-aspirated C-Class AMG model in the world – though, buying one is not going to be easy with it being limited to just 10 units, each painted in Viper Green and wearing exclusive 10-spoke alloys.

Pretty soon, you’ll have to “settle” for the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing considering the fact that it will surely out-perform the old C63 AMG.

Even so, this naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 engine was always good for 506 PS to go with 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque.

It could hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds, which is extremely impressive, but torque-wise, the newer model will definitely surpass it. Of course, noise is definitely one aspect where naturally aspirated engines remain unbeaten, so good luck topping this unbelievable exhaust note with a turbocharged unit!

Looks-wise, the Legacy Edition is rather similar to the Edition 507 model, except that it comes with matte-black wheels and a pretty big rear wing, which we definitely don’t mind. Extra aggressiveness is always…greatly appreciated.

So whether you’re one of the 10 lucky C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition owners, or just a fan of the old C63 AMG Coupe and its naturally aspirated V8 engine, knowing that this car exists will definitely bring a smile to your face.
