Audi’s new model launches in recent years have been so conservative from a styling point of view that many times it was hard for fans to distinguish new models from old ones.

Hopefully it won’t be the case with the next-generation Audi A5, which is expected to arrive next year using the underpinnings of the recently-unveiled all-new A4.

Renderings we’ve seen so far used design cues from the new Audi A4, but that’s not quite the case with this latest set of digital images from Remco Meulendijk. The Photoshop manipulator believes the upcoming Audi A5 will look like an evolution of the current-generation A5. This means the new model will be easily recognizable as an Audi A5 – actually, if these renderings are accurate, it will look more like a facelifted model than an all-new one.

While the Singleframe grille and bumpers are similar to those from the new A4, the headlights and taillights look more like those from the current A5. What do you think?
