McLaren released a new set of photos showing its angry 675LT being driven around the famous Silverstone circuit.

The most focused version of the Super Series debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show featuring more power and less weight to carry around, with McLaren sticking on the back of it the legendary Longtail moniker.

Limited to 500 units only, the 675LT packs 675PS (666hp) at 7100rpm and 700Nm (516lb ft) between 5500-6500rpm, with 50% of the parts in the twin turbo 3.8-litre engine to be unique. 0-100km/h (0-62mph) takes 2.9 seconds, 0-200km/h (0-124mph) in 7.9 seconds with the top speed rated at 330km/h (205mph).

McLaren has managed to make the 675LT 100kg lighter than the 650S using lightweight material in key areas while the different bodywork means that there is now 40% more downforce than the standard model, with the huge ‘Longtail’ airbrake being one of the trademarks of the car.

“The Longtail is a famous name in the history of McLaren, first used on the fastest version of the iconic McLaren F1. The McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’ was the final highly successful iteration of the F1, and it is an appropriate name for the most exhilarating and driver-focused version of the Super Series. The 675LT is the purest distillation of what McLaren stands for – pure driving pleasure”, said Mike Flewitt, McLaren Automotive Chief Executive Officer.

Limited strictly to 500 units, McLaren says that the 675LT is already sold-out. If you still want how much it would cost you to have one in your garage, McLaren charged its customers £259,500 for the benefit of owning one in the UK.
