The BMW X6M is never going to go off road, despite kind of looking like it can, so its on-road behavior really needs to shine.

It needs to feel special, fast and borderline sports car-like in the sensation it transmits in order to justify its badge and, well, itself.

AutoGuide got its hands on a new X6M and the first impression is on the positive side. The reviewer makes it clear that his personal preference doesn’t extend to the regular X6, but that it M guise it’s a very different and more pleasurable experience.

He even says the car is willing to let its tail hang out, and we must admit to having felt that even in the base three-liter diesel X5 we drove a while back. These new X5 and X6 models really feel rear-wheel drive in the situations you’d want them to.
