One of the hardest, coolest and most awesome Lambos is rumored to shed its roof and premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Yes, I’m talking about the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster which, according to Autocar, will debut in mid-August at the prestigious motoring event.

About a month ago, Lamborghini officially announced that the LP750-4 SV Roadster is getting ready for its big entrance in the world of production automobiles, even though we learned of its existence way back in March. Still, there’s no denying that the Italian car maker is on a major offensive, allegedly prepping other new models for an imminent debut; including an elite, limited-run creation.

Anyway, production of this 740 HP monster will be limited to just 500 units, making it more exclusive than the coupe version which sold frenetically. Moreover, it will retain the hardcore, super ferocious setup the original Aventador SV had.

In other words, expect the Roadster to come with a stripped-out cabin, a plethora of carbon fiber bits and a hard-rocking 6.5-litre V12, developing 740 horses at 8400 rpm – 49 more than the regular Aventador; if you can call it “regular”.

That’s enough to push it from 0 to 100 km/h (62 Mph) in 2.8 seconds and all the way to a top speed of 356km/h (221 Mph). In fact, with an extremely rigid carbon fiber monocoque and minimal weight gains, the convertible Lambo is believed to be just as fast and bonkers as its cocooned sibling.

Don’t expect anything more than a roofless LP750-4 Superveloce, design-wise.
