Mercedes-AMG has just released a teaser video announcing a new model, although they don’t tell us what it is yet.
They just say “something fast is coming,” then show some on track scenes from Hockenheim, as well as engine audio samples. The 19 second video is a teaser if we ever saw one, the only problem is we really do know what the car is – they shouldn’t have bothered teasing it…
We’ve heard that the next Mercedes to get the “Black Series” look is believed to be the AMG GT, packing around 550 hp and possibly, comical fender flares.
The only problem with this car I think will be its price and the new Corvette Z06. In the States, the AMG GT-S is already $129,000, so imagine how close to $200,000 this new one will be – they’re making it that wide for a reason: they want to justify a huge price tag.
The Z06 costs ~$105,000 but it has a very good chance of being much-much faster in every way, and far less obvious. Now that will be a comparo!
