We’ve seen plenty of videos of cops giving civilians a hard time…or even worse, but in this instance, the roles of defender of the law and offender were reversed.

YouTuber Travis was driving his car on road in Minneapolis with a 40mph (64km/h) speed limit when he saw a cop along with another car in front, going a lot faster -about 56mph (90km/h), according to his calculations.

Travis took the unusual step of…pulling over the police officer to give him a piece of his mind.

In the video description, Travis wrote:

“Here’s the video of me following and eventually pulling over a Minneapolis police officer speeding on average 56mph in a 40mph zone (up to 63mph at the highest). Turns out the other car (regular Toyota Camry) driving the same crazy speed without any warning lights or sirens was actually the police officer’s wife in her personal car and he finds no issue with it.

I have to ask his officer / badge number 3 times and the response to why he was driving way over the speed limit and how unsafe it was included “is it” and “I’m the police”.

I attempted to file a complaint multiple times and was hung up on. Only after finding a place to file an official complaint on the website did I hear from an investigator.”

One thing Travis did not mention in the text is that the cop told him, “Do I pull over everyone who goes over the speed limit? Do you know how many people pass me on the road on the way where I’m going now?”, and he does seem to have a point there…
