A second scoop shot of Ferrari’s hardcore version of the F12berlinetta wearing nothing but a red cover on its top has emerged online.

Rumored to bear either the Speciale or the GTO moniker, this edition of Ferrari’s front-mid engine supercar will up Maranello’s game against the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce.

It’s said to be significantly lighter than the regular F12berlinetta that will continue to be offered in its current form, losing us much as 200kg (441lbs), according to some sources, which is more than double than the weight savings in the 458 Speciale.

And if that’s not enough to get you super-excited (well, in a day-dreaming kind of way), Ferrari is believed to have tweaked its already potent 740PS (730hp) 6.3-liter V12 to deliver an additional 30 to 70hp, which would push output to between 760hp and 800hp.

We’ll be able to distinguish the Speciale or GTO from the plain-cloth F12b from the new aero and stripe package that includes a redesigned rear bumper, side skirt additions, rear fender vents, different wheels, a chin spoiler, and possibly some other upgrades to the front that are hidden in these shots.
