There are many limited-series sports cars out there that I’d buy, but the Rezvani Beast is not one of those cars – for me at least. Firstly, it’s not running on unique undepinnings, as it’s basically an enclosed (and heavier) Ariel Atom, plus it’s just overpriced at $165,000.

It has the same engine as the Atom, but boosted to make some extra power, and on the whole, it doesn’t seem like a convincing package. Even the first buyer, a celebrity, the musician Chris Brown, didn’t add to the credibility and appeal of the brand, as he’s not known as a car connoisseur.

The brand is desperately trying to get its name out there, and it probably will. It’s already shot a promo for the Beast, which is probably being edited as we speak, but let’s hope they up the quality from the 480p of this “behind the scenes” video posted below…

As a reminder, Rezvani previously gave birth to Bulleta Motors, a company that around it inception promised it would re-body a Lotus chassis. Lotus said it had nothing to do with the company, which then went underground. It’s owner then resurfaced with this, the Beast, a car that has no history behind it yet.

The only thing that’s making it appealing right now, is the quite pleasing styling. You could just buy something else along the same lines until the company matures and proves itself.
