They say money can buy anything, but is that true?

Apparently yes, because how else can you explain a road-legal McLaren P1 GTR? Yup, ladies and gents, this particular baby-blue British super-machine was initially designed as a track-special, but someone thought it could make a good use of it on the streets.

That said, after paying 3 million bucks for it, the owner commissioned a nice conversion to transform the 986 horsepower circuit-monster into something you can show-off while going shopping. No, it’s not an official McLaren project, but we have a hunch that Lanzante Motorsport – a British automotive company specialized in servicing, restoring and converting high-end automobiles – had something to do with it.

And here comes the tricky part; the P1 GTR model is currently offered only to existing P1 road-car owners, which means that the guy who commissioned the assignment presumably has a P1 in his garage. So, then why on Earth did he bothered with a street-converted race car?

Well, mainly because for the exclusivity it offers. Moreover, the GTR variant is lighter, more powerful and better aerodynamically optimized than its “everyday” counterpart. But the real reason why this car probably exists is because it will greatly appreciate in value over the years. Given all that, its re-sale value should be off the charts.
