This is not the first Porsche 911 with a central driving position (it’s actually the second), but in case you’re interested you can view it at an auction. This example will look for a buyer at Mecum’s Monterey auction running from August 13 – 15.

The company behind the mod is Shawn Bayliff’s Trinity Motorsports Group of Lima, Ohio, which did all of the re-engineering and re-positioning of components. The end rusult looks pretty clean, even if the idea is still uncoventional.

Spec-wise, the car is a 911S, with rear-wheel drive, 355 hp and a six-speed manual gearbox plus lots of factory optional extras and 30,450 miles on the odometer. Apparently, some $75,000 were sunk into the conversion alone, so it’s expected to fetch as much as $115,000.
