Trying to decide between a Corvette Z06 and a Dodge Challenger Hellcat can be quite easy if you’re thinking hypothetically and staying true to your priorities.

Here’s how probably most – if not all – of us would handle this decision. Am I interested in getting the best value-for-money deal here? Then I’ll absolutely buy a Challenger Hellcat for about $20,000 less than what I’d have to spend on a Z06.

Sure, I’d be losing out on the “pretty factor” and agility, but then again, $20k is $20k and I’d still have so much torque at my disposal, you’d need the starship Enterprise to tractor-beam me to a halt once I drop the hammer.

On the flip side, if somebody’s generous enough as to let me pick either of these cars as a birthday present, there is absolutely no chance in hell I’m not choosing the Corvette Z06. I mean, have you ever seen in person? It’s unbelievably sexy.

On top of that (and as opposed to the Hellcat), it’s got a better interior and better handling. And by better I mean “forget about it”.

So then, if we were to side with somebody in the video, should it be the Hellcat driver feeling good about himself because of he’s accelerating quicker than the Vette? To be fair, they both have the same torque figure, yet the Dodge has more power.

Then again, the Corvette has almost 1,000 fewer lbs to haul around, but remember, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a Hellcat accelerate harder than a Z06.

Only this time, the Corvette is surrounded by two Hellcats and they’re looking for trouble – especially with the law. What are these guys thinking street racing during the night on a crowded motorway?

Anyway, check out the video to see what goes down between these three American supercars.
