We don’t know what the whole story is here, as is the case with such videos, but by the looks of things, the police officer seems like he was overstepping his duty.

The unnamed police officer was apparently annoyed that Don McComas, the man who posted the video on YouTube was filming him. Apparently, Don started recording after he saw the police Ford SUV driving very slowly past his home, insistently checking out what he was doing.

What was the man doing that aroused the cop’s suspicion? He was hitching his boat trailer to the back of his ‘90s Ford Excursion.

What’s perplexing is that the cop immediately pulls out his gun after having stepped out of his cruiser. Why did he rush? Because the boat hitcher had his hand in his pocket.

This looks a lot like the definition of police oppression, doesn’t it? And the cop’s attitude is totally inappropriate given the situation.

Why on earth would the man hitching his boat be ordered to take his hand out of his pocket when the cop admitted to having absolutely no grounds for stopping by the house?

The incident unfolded in a suburb of Rohnert Park, California.
