Following the scandal created by Jeremy’s departure from Top Gear and the contract signed with Amazon, we barely had any Clarkson-related car news to report.

Sure, the former Top Gear presenter reviewed a Corvette Z06 for his column in The Sunday Times and took a couple of Ferraris and an AMG GT around Dunsfold Park for “The Roundhouse Camdon” charity event, but we craved more automotive action from the man.

That said, Daily Mail reports that a McLaren 675LT worth a staggering $403,549 (starting price) was just delivered to his flat in London. Now, we’re not certain if Clarkson bought the Longtail to celebrate his new Amazon deal or the car was delivered for review purposes for the new show, or his motoring column. Still, judging by his automotive preferences in the last decade, a 675LT seems a little… hardcore for his liking, but you never know.

Mind you, he’s capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in no time, drift uncontrollably, make a racket and frenetically use hammers as his mending tool of choice. The McLaren on the other hand is a more sophisticated piece of equipment – it does 0 to 100 km/h in in 2.9 seconds and – according to the British brand– it stops from accelerating at 329 km/h (205 Mph); all thanks to a 3.8-litre V8 producing 666 horses.

Speaking of the devil, it’s nice to see Jezza dedicating his life to awesome cars once more.
