The Kia Pro Cee’d GT is apparently the car to beat in this comparative review put together by CarAdvice. According to them, the GT is the best all-round sporty hatch its price range, so they’ve lined up a set of rivals to see if it will budge from their top spot.

They chose it as the favorite for this flavor of car because of it being a great all-rounder. It’s apparently not bad to drive either – the steering is nothing to write home about, but direct and precise, and the same thing could also be said of the gear shift action.

Even so, it’s not the most fun car of the tested lot. That distinction goes to the Citroen DS3. Equipped with the 165 hp turbo petrol engine, its low weight and smaller footprint made it shine as a smile-inducer.

The Aussie team also brought along a Holden Astra coupe and a Hyundai Veloster SR Turbo, but neither was wholeheartedly recommended.
