BMW’s ‘Clown Shoe’ has divided opinions like little else that came out of the factory wearing an ‘M’ badge.

The shooting-brake body style didn’t find many fans when it was new, but as time passes and everyone looks for the next big thing in used BMW Ms, the M Coupe suddenly stands out of its relatives, thanks to its general ‘specialness’ and rarity.

Petrolicious
features a track-prepped example, driven by airline pilot Alex McCulloch who wants to extract every last bit of performance out of his BMW M Coupe on the circuit. “Someone said, life is racing and everything else is just waiting,” McCulloch says.

All the mods done to this example are said to be easily reversible, with the owner saying “I used to say it wanted to kill me, but now we’ve reached an agreement where it’s not quite as murderous”.

I don’t know about you but I’m a big fan of he M Coupe and I’m not afraid to declare my feelings for it.
