Even though there’s no separating these two completely different cars off the line, a rolling start reveals the AMG GT S’ power-to-weight advantage.

In one corner, there’s 560 PS four-door coupe, weighing in at 2,005 kg (4,420 lbs). It can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds thanks to its quattro all-wheel drive system, as well as its 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

There’s no escaping how impressive this car really is, and you definitely need some serious firepower in order to defeat it in a straight line.

Luckily, the increasingly popular Mercedes-AMG GT S is still looking to kick some rears and take some names in drag racing circles. On paper, it’s not a massively powerful supercar, but it’s still very capable with its 510 PS and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft).

It also weighs just 1,645 kg (3,626 lbs), and that should give it a huge advantage over the more powerful RS7 Sportback.

Watching the action unravel, you can’t help but notice that once the AMG GT S takes the lead by a couple of car lengths, the RS7 pretty much keeps up, without losing any more ground.

Over a shorter distance and with a standing start, the RS7 might have been able to perform better against the Mercedes-AMG GT S, although its specs suggest that this is pretty much a losing battle for the Audi.
