This is new – an unnamed police officer has been suspended and is being investigated as he was caught on camera forcing a motorist to buy some Hero Thrill Show tickets so as not to get fined and have his car impounded.

Said motorist was apparently pulled over somewhere in and around Philadelphia (for a broken tail light and an allegedly unregistered car) and that’s where the action in the candid video below took place. It’s very easy to understand what the officer is saying and especially at the moment he gives the driver the ultimatum.

He is persuaded to buy the tickets, though, after being called “a fruitcake” by the cop turned event promoter. None of the people involved had their names published, but the cop’s definitely should be known, especially after he’s formally charged (which hasn’t yet happened).

According to (local) Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, what the unnamed cop did is “just stupid. It’s just not good at all. There’s nothing about the stop that’s good. Period. And I’m not going to even remotely try to justify any of it.”

Check out the actual video from the stop and the NBC Philadelphia news report posted below.
