Honda has released a big photo gallery and new details about the facelifted 2016 Accord Sedan.

As you’ve already seen last month when Honda issued the first photos and information on the 2016 Accord, the model brings subtle design upgrades including all-round LED lighting, a more rigid body and upgraded chassis, as well as increased fuel efficiency.

All 2016 Accord Sedan and Coupe models can now be equipped with Honda Sensing as a standalone option on all trims except Touring, on which it is standard equipment.

The new model year also brings fresh premium features and technologies, including the first combined application of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a Honda model.

Depending on model trim, additional new available features for 2016 include remote engine start, front and rear parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, rear seat heaters, and a 60/40 split and folding rear seat. The Accord Sedan also features new interior fabrics and decor including new glossy piano black interior trim for LX and Sport trims, new carbon fiber-style dashboard trim and new cloth seat fabric with leatherette bolsters for the Sport trim, a new meter design on the Sport model, new tricot seat fabric for EX, as well as new wood grain-style dashboard trim for EX and above trims.

Honda says the Accord Sedan now has increased body rigidity, high performance dampers and a retuned electric power steering system. Also new is a lighter aluminum hood which replaces the previous steel hood.

The popular Sport trim (the red car in the photo gallery) gains additional upgrades including larger front brakes, 19-inch wheels and tires, and retuned Active Sound Control. The range-topping Touring trim (the dark grey car in the gallery) also gets larger front brakes and 19-inch wheels and tires, as well as Amplitude Reactive Dampers and hydraulic subframe bushings for a more supple ride.

There are three engine choices: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with either 185hp or 189hp (on Sport models) and a 3.5-liter V6 delivering 278hp. Available transmissions include a CVT and a 6-speed manual for the 4-cylinder engines, as well as a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic for V6 models. A hybrid model will arrive early next year.
