Mercedes is at it again, pulling together resources, brand ambassadors and their entire ‘SUV family’ in order to bring us this Hollywood trailer-styled commercial.

The only thing we can say for certain about this video is that we are indeed looking at a new generation of Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

The GLA is still somewhat new, whereas the GLE, GLE Coupe and the GLC just came out to greet the world. The G-Wagon of course never needs any sort of introduction.

What is impressive about this clip is the montage that features surfer Garrett McNamara behind the wheel of the GLA, F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton driving the GLE Coupe, show jumping champ Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum in the GLE, supermodel Petra Nemcova fittingly in the stylish GLC, and last but not least explorer Mike Horn with the G-Class.

And if you think an explorer doesn’t belong in this group of extremely talented people, think again. Back in 2001, he completed a solo journey around the equator without and motorized vehicles at his disposal, while in 2006 he became the first man to travel to the North Pole during winter (and in permanent darkness) without any vehicles or dogs for that matter.

So if you need any motivation to keep doing what you’re doing, this guy should be on your poster…next to the GLE Coupe – the most beautiful off-roader in Mercedes-Benz history.

As for the rest of the video, like the title says, it’s about inspiration. The editing is fast-paced and the soundtrack is very Hollywood-like – “one man must stand against all odds bla bla type of thing”. I mean, I get why they used it in a spot called ‘Inspiration’. But hopefully they’ll think of another soundtrack if they ever do one called “Being original”.

Worth to note – Mercedes currently have five SUVs that they’re promoting here, with the GLS soon to join the group making it six. Oh, and almost forgot about the GLC Coupe…so seven. Audi only have three genuine SUVs, while BMW have five. But these things often get shuffled around.

So which current Mercedes-Benz SUV is your favorite?
