In celebration of the new Mad Max video game, Uber approached Waner Bros Interactive Entertainment and set out to give fans the ride of a lifetime in downtown Seattle.

The project started on Friday, August 28th and ran through Monday, August 31st from 10 AM to 6 PM. One condition was that those lucky enough to land a “Mad Max Uber” ride, had to keep their trip within downtown Seattle limits.

Since the cars also varied in size, people had to check to make sure that their ride could hold either 1, 3 or 4 passengers. On top of that, as Uber puts it “Your dollars are worthless in the Wasteland. Payment shall not be required,”, which made it even more fun for those that got to ride in these cars.

Speaking of which, four of the six rides could definitely pass for a real-world Mad Max car, whereas the one that looks completely out of place is of course the Wrangler.

In fact, there’s nothing apocalyptic about it. It almost looks like somebody’s dad is getting ready to take the family on a camping trip.

Even so, it’s a great idea that hopefully gets some traction in the future where we might see Uber partner with other studios and bring even more movie-rides into the real world.
