Was driving to work this morning, saw this car driving by and after posting on Reddit, turns out it’s a test mule of the 2017 Ford GT.
No, we didn’t make this up. It’s the actual description of the YouTube user who goes by the nickname DrScancalous, saw the low-snug, strangely colored sports car with the two oddly protruding exhaust pipes and thought it would be fun taking a video.
Despite all the press it has got, few people recognize that this is the latest iteration of Ford’s legendary supercar. Even the carmaker has figured this out and tried to turn it on its head with a promo video.
Apparently, things are no better in its home turf. Never mind that the GT will, as rumors have it, pack close to 700HP and cost between US$350,000-400,000 – that’s Lamborghini Aventador money…
For petrolheads, of course, this makes no difference at all. It’s nice to watch the new GT on the move even at low speeds; blame that 55 mph speed limit sign for that…
