Point of view (POV) videos don’t usually work if the car being driven is boring, but that’s definitely not the case with the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R.

Were you wondering what that 8,250 rpm redline sounds like? You need wonder no more, as Winding Road Magazine has posted a POV video of said special new Mustang. Obviously, the perspective from which it’s shot allows you to see how it moves, but judging by this video it’s pretty feisty and frisky.

The driver is required to make plenty of minute corrections in order keep it pointing the right way, but hey, that’s not bad as it’ll make anybody’s driving look like Ayrton Senna’s.

It also looks like there’s a bit of understeer on corner entry and you have to man-handle it to get it to turn, but again, if it’s progressive, predictable and can be countered with steering and throttle it only adds to the experience.

The projected shift lights are a nice and useful touch too, adding to the excellent road-legal race car vibe that the GT350R has going for it.
