A message reading “Signal lane change or sheriff may kill you,” with the last two words written in red, was spotted on a fence in Prairie View, Texas, over on University Drive.

It was believed to have been put up to make the cause of 28 year-old Sandra Bland, who was in the area for an interview, known. She was reportedly stopped by state trooper earlier in July, then things for her took a turn for the tragically strange…

Apparently, the trooper pulled her over for not indicating her lane change, but she somehow eventually ended up under arrest and allegedly committing suicide in her cell using a plastic bag. You can read all about it here as the story has its own (convincingly written) Wikipedia page.

The message put up on the fence clearly implies it wasn’t suicide and puts the blame for her death on the sheriff.

Do also check out footage from her arrest below.
