Few vehicles are arguably cooler than a G-Class 6×6 AMG and Kahn’s Flying Huntsman is one of them.

Officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, this menacing looking 6-wheel Defender took everybody’s breath away. Still, we couldn’t get a good look at it at the auto salon, but now Kahn has decided to present it in all its glory.

Unlike the G-Class which keeps its regular proportions all the way to the cabin, the Flying Huntsman has been extensively modified in such a way that it looks different from a Defender all together. Sure, you can still tell it was a Defender, but the attention to detail and construction are quite mind boggling – I’m talking about the car.

Project Kahn has stretched the Volcanic Rock Satin Defender 110 by a considerable amount. That said, the bonnet (nose) suffered a 400 mm extension, while the rear cabin was elongated by 800 mm. Not only that, but the whole rig was widened by 150 mm.

The key was adding two extra wheels to the whatchamacallit, and the tuner did just that by attaching a third axle. And no, it’s not only a concept, because a heavy-duty chassis, upgraded suspension, upgraded brakes, hi-low ratio drive system and locking differentials ensure this six-wheeled beast can outperform regular Defenders.

Did I mention that it’s powered by a 6.2-liter, GM LS3 V8, developing approximately 430 horses? The engine is mated to a GM six-speed auto and channels waste through an upgraded stainless-steel exhaust system.

Design-wise, it features Kahn’s distinctive look with a cherry-red interior on top of it. You can actually buy the rig on Kahn’s website for a measly £199,875 ($311,870) What!? That’s half the price of a basic 6×6 G-Class.
