With so much tech and refinement on board the all-new 7-Series, it’s no wonder BMW are approaching each ad as if their luxury saloon was unparalleled in the automotive industry.

While everyone’s free to debate the design of the new 7-Series, few can contest the fact that as of right now, it’s the most innovative car in its segment. The fact that BMW are milking their new-found position as much as they can, was to be expected – after all, they have until the all-new Audi Q8 comes out.

Anyway, that’s the future, and we’re here talking about the present…at a time when BMW are actually the ones that are “creating” said future.

Honestly, it does seem like we’re transitioning much quicker than expected from the “touch-command era” to something where gesture controls and autonomous driving are going to become the new norm.

Nowadays, comfort and light-weight construction are more than just self-explanatory with luxury cars such as the 7-Series, and BMW are making a strong push towards the front of the pack, regardless of the fact that the only clear advantage manufacturers like Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW can have over one another relies on timing – such as when does a new model come out and when does it reach its mid-life cycle.

But that’s life at the top for you. So as expected, those looking to buy the all-new 7-Series are going to have to deposit a lot of money into BMW’s accounts. Though if you’re a potential customer living in the United States, it might comfort your somewhat knowing that you’re paying far less than your European counterparts.

Purchasing a 740Li will cost you $81,300 (the equivalent of €72,600 at today’s exchange rates excluding taxes) in the USA, whereas if you live in Germany, you’ll need to shell out €93,500 (equal to $104,700 with VAT/ Tax) for the very same model. Either way, driving luxury sure ain’t cheap.
