One of the most recognizable shapes in the automotive world, the BMW 3.0 CSL is one of the most historical models that ever left the Bavarian factory.

This homologation special has gained the nickname ‘Batmobile’ thanks to the advanced aero that was ahead of its time and was nothing like anything else on the road back then. Around 1260 cars were built between 1971 and 1975, making the 3.0 CSL a really rare specimen on the road.

Car Throttle had the honor to drive one left-hand drive example which looks amazing, giving us their impressions of the legendary Bimmer. This is one of the classiest road-racers the world has ever seen, period.
