By the beginning of next year, Ford will sell a total of 17 models in Europe, of which eight will come with available all-wheel drive.

The company recently put out a video highlighting these models, the most exciting of which is, of course, the upcoming Focus RS.

The range of existing models will be completed by the addition of the Edge, a model previously only reserved for the North American market. You can also get AWD on the Transit, S-Max, Galaxy, Mondeo, Ranger, Kuga, EcoSport and the aforementioned hottest Focus.

In the words of Dave Pericak, the latest incarnation of the firm’s AWD system “is a breakthrough technology, capable of delivering supreme cornering and handling at the limit. We have ripped up the rulebook which says that AWD hatchbacks cannot be fun to drive, and have created a car which will surprise and reward in equal measure.”
