GMC will continue to offer the Elevation Edition for 2016 with the styling upgrades and other features new to the entire Sierra 1500 lineup.

These enhancements include revised front-end styling with new, high-intensity discharge projector-beam headlamps and GMC Signature LED lighting.

Available on Sierra double cab, the Elevation Edition brings a more sinister appearance thanks to body-color elements including moldings, door handles, mirror caps, surround and bumpers. The truck rolls on 20-inch black-painted aluminum wheels and features Elevation Edition badging.

Inside, the Sierra Elevation Edition features a new IntelliLink infotainment system with a 7-inch-diagonal screen incorporating CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration capability. In addition, OnStar 4G LTE and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot allow continuous connectivity for up to seven personal devices.

All Sierra Elevation Edition models are fitted as standard with remote keyless entry, remote locking tailgate, outside heated power-adjustable mirrors, a 110-volt AC power outlet, black recovery hooks and a six-speaker audio system, among other things.

Available features include all-terrain tires, a Rear Vision camera system, trailering equipment and XM Radio.

The 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition is offered as standard with the 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 engine delivering 285hp and 305lb-ft (413Nm) of torque. An available 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 produces 355hp and offers up to 9,400 pounds (4,264 kg) of trailering capacity (2WD). Customers can choose two- or four-wheel drive – in both cases, the Eaton locking rear differential is standard.

The 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition will go on sale in the first quarter of 2016.
