Holden announced a multi-year agreement with The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, in anticipation of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens upcoming movie.

The trailers for the new Star Wars movie have really caused a stir globally with over 88 million views in a 24 hour period since they first went up.

As you know, Star Wars is one of those rare movie franchises with fans literally all over the world – just about every single person knows the concept behind these award winning movies. So odds are, the force will “awaken” with solid numbers at the box office.

While announcing their collaboration with Disney, Holden’s Executive Director of Marketing and Consumer Experience, Geraldine Davys said that “This is an exciting and important step for Holden as we continue to evolve our brand and reach out to new customers. This agreement enables Holden a connection to one of the biggest and most loyal followings in the world, over 500 million fans globally, and allows us to think outside the box as we continue to capture the imagination of our customers.”

If you recall, Holden already raised their hands to salute Disney when they celebrated Star Wars Day a few months back on social media.

Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Disney’s Consumer Products & Retail GM was also glad to announce this partnership, saying that “The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand is thrilled to join forces with Holden to celebrate the mythology surrounding the latest chapter of the Star Wars saga. Disney and Holden share a long-term bond with Australian and Kiwi families along with a heritage of trust, innovation and excellence.”

All hands will be on deck on December 18 when ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ hits theaters.
