The all-new Audi TT is the kind of sports car that can appeal both to your heart and your head.

It’s not every day that one talks about practicality when reviewing a roadster, but that’s exactly what Carbuyer’s Mat Watson does in his review of the Audi TT Roadster.

Surprisingly, the open-top TT has a bigger boot than the Audi A1 and benefits from lots of storage spaces in the cabin as well. Not to mention that the TT Roadster is also offered with a diesel powertrain that makes it cheaper to run – not sure I’d want a diesel-powered roadster, though.

Mat Watson says the engine that fits the TT Roadster best is the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol rated at 227hp (230PS). It makes the car faster and it sounds a lot better than the diesel, which should be an important criteria when buying a roadster.

Overall, the new Audi TT Roadster is better than its predecessor on all levels. But when it comes to standard equipment, Audi disappoints by not offering a wind deflector. On a convertible…
