John Hennessey, the founder of Hennessey Performance, has done a video review of sorts focusing on his company’s modified version of the new 2015 Ford F-150 pickup, which is dubbed VelociRaptor 600.
It’s not in any way related to the upcoming Ford F-150 Raptor, but the number in the tail is obviously referring to the horsepower figure which puts it close to the V6 turbo factory variant.
Hennessey offers lots of extra performance and visual parts for the F-150 to make it look like the one in the video. Firstly, you have to have the special rims and tires, fender flares, custom bumpers, revised suspension plus the obligatory winch.
Since it’s based on a regular F-150, this variant uses a 2.7 liter supercharger atop the 5.0 liter V8. The blower pushes power up from 385 hp, while torque goes up from 387 lb-ft, but we don’t know by how much as it was not specified in the accompanying release.
