We don’t know if Lightweight truly justifies its name through their tuning choices (they don’t say), but their aftermarket take on the BMW X4 does look stealthily cool.

That frozen grey body was achieved through a foil wrap with the sporty crossover riding on a 30mm lowered Bilstein suspension and 21-inch Hartge Classic black alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin PilotSuperSport tires measuring 245/35 on the front axle and 265/30 on the rear.

The car’s exterior kit also includes two pairs of 90mm tailpipes coated in a frozen-grey color to match the body, plus carbon fiber mirror caps, front apron, boot spoiler and rear diffuser.

In the cabin, Lightweight has dressed the lower center console and the passenger side trim strip in black Alcantara with double contrast stitching, curiously leaving the rest of the dashboard trim untouched, and making it look mismatched. We could also do without the “LW X4” logo on the steering wheel trim. Other interior add-ons are the aluminum pedals and an auxiliary display that replaces the left, center air-vent.

Under the hood, the German tuner has two performance options for the X4 xDrive35i, the first with an upgraded ECU that boosts the stock 306PS (302hp in EU-spec) 3.0-liter blown six to 365PS (360hp) and 690Nm (509 lb-ft), and the other through “field optimization” – whatever that means, to 375PS (370hp) and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) of peak torque.
