He’s back: Matthew McConaughey and his deep thoughts return in a series of new ads for the 2016 Lincoln MKX crossover.

Created by Academy Award-nominated director Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) Lincoln announced Thursday the three new spots fall under the umbrella tagline of “The feeling stays with you.” Just let that sink in.

McConaughey did a number of spots last year for the Lincoln MKC and MKZ lines, coming off of his acclaimed role in the HBO miniseries, True Detective. Spoofed by Saturday Night Live and Jim Carrey, the ads did at least boost Lincoln’s exposure.

In these new ones, we don’t get the contemplative words of McConaughey as he effortlessly twirls the wheel or leans against a car looking out into the abyss. What we do get, however, is a lot of smooth jazz, the twirling of his cufflinks and shots of the Lincoln.
