New Lambo Huracan LP610-4 Spyder Makes First Video Appearance

Lamborghini's new convertible Huracan took center stage during the brand's "Group Night" at IAA 2015, also giving us a preview of what the car looks outside of previously seen still images.
While a press conference isn't exactly what we had in mind when thinking about seeing the Huracan Spyder "in motion" for the first time, it appears that this will have to do for now. The rotating platforms actually give us an excellent look at the car in a three dimensional setting, so in a sense, it's just as good if not better than looking at the images released yesterday.
By now you may be aware that the Huracan Spyder's fabric roof can be lowered electronically in just 17 seconds and up to a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph). But since 17 seconds is a long time to wait for a Lamborghini owner, let's focus more on its acceleration, since it only needs 3.4 seconds to get from 0 to 100 km/h.
As we've said a few days ago, the Huracan Spyder will have to go up against the Ferrari 488 Spider and the McLaren 650S Spider, both of which have retained their Coupe 0-100 km/h time of 3 seconds flat. The Huracan Spyder is also slower than the Coupe version by 0.2 seconds, yet it pretty much retains its top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph).
Compared to the old Gallardo Spyder, the Huracan Spyder's chassis is 40% stiffer, as the whole car weighs just 1,542 kg (3,399 lbs) dry, which makes it about 120 kg (264 lbs) heavier than the Coupe version.
One thing that most people might agree on is the fact that the Huracan Spyder is considerably better looking than the regular version - which had a few "haters" of its own.
Still, check out the clip and let us know what you think!
