Suzuki’s Hustler Scoot Concept Is The Perfect Moped To Carry Your Stuff Around

Suzuki will make its way to the Tokyo Motor Show with the Hustler Scoot.

You might remember the Japanese car manufacturer’s Hustler model – a 790 kg (1742 lbs) utilitarian, adventure-vehicle, capable of going (almost) anywhere and model itself after your needs and your heart’s desire (you could say it is a proper Hustler mobile). Yeah, well Suzuki transferred the cars’ character into a scooter and came up with the Hustler Scoot.

But here’s the thing, the name “Hustler” goes way back in Suzuki’s…heritage (way before the car existed), being associated with the T20 247cc, two-stroke motorcycle. In fact, besides being a capable little moped, this concept pays tribute to the original bike.

The Hustler Scoot comes with a variety of luggage compartments for diverse purposes, including a conventional under-seat luggage bay is fitted with a removable suitcase that mounts between the rider’s feet. And the carrying capability of the little guy doesn’t stop here, as it comes with more room for all kinds of goods and chattels on the rear carrier and on the side of the bodywork.

Suzuki says the Hustler Scoot has the same kind of fun-inspiring personality as the Hustler automobile and that’s why it comes in the same kind of pop-art paint-scheme.

The concept is powered by a one-cylinder 49cc air-cooled, four stroke engine so don’t expect much performance from it. It’s enough that it looks cool and is capable of carrying all your stuff.
