It seems that manufacturers don’t really care we always seem to get a decent look at their new models before motor show debuts. There’s always some kind of leak, backstage photo or any number of other possibilities.

VW, for instance, just released a couple of sketches of the all-new crossover, but we can’t say they’re in any way revealing because yet again we’ve seen the car a good few days before the official reveal.

The sketches don’t show much, just an exaggerated interpretation of the much more toned down production model. They’re not as misleading as the ones used to tease the Hyundai Elantra, where the sketches portrayed a kind of mini-BMW M3, while the final car was… just a more modern Elantra.

These stylized sketches were only given to Auto Motor und Sport in Germany, but the publication says they are the first official images released by the manufacturer, so we’ll just take their word for it.
