With 300 of 700 M4 GTS units already headed to the US, now we know that BMW‘s fastest ever production car is limited to just 30 units in the UK.

Anglesey Circuit is a racetrack located in Ty Croes, Anglesey, Wales, where it plays host to several types of motorsport events, including rallycross. Lucky for BMW fans, it also hosted this amazing M4 GTS for the duration of this promo.

Let’s put one thing out there from the get go – the BMW M4 GTS sounds absolutely amazing. Thanks to this video, now we can finally hear its modified 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six unit properly, as it’s being worked hard though the rev range. It sounds visceral, almost as if pure BMW performance could be represented by noise and this was it.

With 500 PS at its disposal, the M4 GTS can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds, or approximately 0.3 seconds quicker than the regular M4 DKG. Of course, acceleration isn’t everything when we’re talking about a car built specifically to set fast lap times.

It already went around the Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 28 seconds (almost 30 seconds quicker than your everyday M4), so it’s safe to say that the power difference between the two doesn’t even begin to reflect how much of an improvement the GTS represents.

To give you an even better idea of what this Bimmer can do, imagine that the legendary Ferrari Enzo was only 2.79 seconds quicker around the Nordshleife back when it ruled the world.
