In terms of iconic SUVs, the Brabus G63 as well as the regular AMG version, stand pretty much as high as the bar can be raised.

You could argue that the G-Class in general is a hard car to compete with. Consider its strengths for a moment: it has a timeless design, it’s incredibly masculine and utilitarian, and it will most certainly help you stand out in a crowd of Q7s, X5s and so on.

While technically, it doesn’t offer the best ride in its segment (neither on or off-road), it would be almost impossible to not get a sense of its greatness if you got to spend a couple of hours behind the wheel.

Of course, it’s with the Brabus version where the proverbial bar resides when it comes to this car. It’s the pinnacle of G-Class performance and the place where owners of regular G63 AMG models go to turn their ride into something even more special.

Now, while this car may have all the Brabus badges in all the right places, it might just be all for show – given away by the absence of the ‘V8 Biturbo’ inscription. Also, since this is a 2013 model, we might be looking at 544 PS, instead of the 620 PS that the Brabus version had, aside from the massive 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. Either way, let’s move on to wheels because they’re pretty special as well.

When Brabus first unveiled their 2013 G63, it was wearing a set of 23″ black alloys whereas here we have a set of custom Brushed Gunmetal 22″ ADV.1 wheels which actually work really well with the rest of the car. The owner could have used those 23s for this project, but considering the car’s overall appearance, he chose the ADV.1s wisely.
