Jeremy Clarkson was always perceived as a ‘lead presenter’ on Top Gear, even if the two others had major roles to play as well. Now, though, the new show presenter, Chris Evans, wants to make himself the sole focus of the program.

In his own words when referring to the previous hosts, “they’re the Three Stooges, they are the Bee Gees, they are that and I’m not, I’m me. I’m a solo artist at the moment, I’m on my own, so do I form a band or not?”

He adds that “We are going to do things differently, because we have to, we want to. The second you wander off into the ‘Well I’m the main host, and this is my mate over here and my mate over here’… if there’s three of you, and you go and make a film together, suddenly you’re doing what they did. Why would you do that?”

The entire format of the show is therefor set to change, and to go with the changes, they`ll also be “shaking up” the old studio location. We don’t know if that implies moving to a new location or just some redecorating and redesigning of the old one.

However, if you think he’s cool about it and not feeling the pressure, well, you`d be wrong. He confessed that he is “still terrified,” but explained that that’s just simply the mark of being the right person for the job…
