Ah, the notorious Jeremy Clarkson: the one who has insulted everyone and got away with it until he caused a storm in BBC and got fired.

Instead of retiring and spending his hard-earned quid, he was instead joined by his former Top Gear co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May and the trio moved on to pastures new and green.

Very green, actually; over US$15 million per year green, if you get the drift. Amazon was apparently very happy to have the famous TV presenters for its new show. It coughed up US$11.1 million for Hammond and May, too.

Work on the new program is already under way and they gave away the first image – which is not bad at all…

We still don’t know the name of the new show, though. A report tat a law firm closely connected to Clarkson had registered the trademark “Gear Knobs” had us believe that this would be it. For some it seemed like a good idea, a nice wordplay and, perhaps, a little stab at their former employers. Other hated it. Typical Clarkson controversy…

Well, it won’t: Jeremy himself put an end to this rumor via a simple tweet.

He didn’t leave any hints, either, keeping his cards very close to his chest, and since nothing has leaked out so far, we can only speculate. Our guess is that, no matter how it will be called, it won’t have the word “gear” in it. Let’s see how this pans out…
