It looks like Americans will be spoiled for choice when it comes to Type R performance variants of the tenth-generation Honda Civic.

Besides the Civic Type R hatch, which has already been confirmed for the US , Honda is also expected to launch a Type R sedan and Type R coupe.

Since development prototypes of the Type R sedan have already been spotted on the Nürburgring, Photoshop expert X-Tomi thought about rendering the car in production specification.

The result looks very interesting, to say the least. The styling of the latest-generation Civic becomes even sleeker thanks to the lowered ride height, more aggressive bumper and new alloy wheels. The black elements surrounding the grille definitely add more drama, as does the huge rear wing. There’s no rear view though, but we expect a massive diffuser and a three-pipe exhaust outlet to be featured there, as on the development car.

Under the hood, the Type R sedan should feature the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the hatch, rated at 306hp (310PS) and 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque.
