During an exclusive media briefing, former world No1 tennis player Maria Sharapova talked about what it takes to achieve your goals while making the Panamera sound good in the process.

While discussing her career and what it took to overcome her latest injuries, Sharapova also made sure to mention that “It’s about being strong and powerful at what you do, but doing it in a very elegant and sophisticated way,” while Porsche showed her walking past the Panamera Edition.

While not very subtle, describing the Panamera as being powerful and elegant isn’t at all unfair, nor is it false in any way – well at least when it comes to power. The ‘Edition’ version displayed in this video is actually a very well-equipped model with special branding, two-tone leather sports seats, a Sport Design steering wheel and a 585-Watt Bose Surround Sound system packing 14 speakers.

As Porsche brand ambassador, Sharapova has appeared in promotional videos in the past as well, featuring the 911 Turbo S or the one-off Panamera GTS which she actually got to design last year. That car had blacked-out headlights & taillights, black tailpipe covers and 20″ black wheels to go with the white exterior.

Currently, Sharapova is playing in the semi-finals of the WTA Championship in Singapore and might even be considered the favorite since current world number one Serena Williams is absent while recovering from an injury.
