Land Rover has announced that the Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be unveiled in November.

To create buzz for the event, the automaker has placed a collection of full-size Range Rover Evoque Convertible “wireframe” sculptures on the streets of central London. The installations were displayed outside iconic London locations including the Harrods department store on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge and in notable Mayfair addresses.

The bespoke sculptures were designed by Land Rover’s own Design team, using advanced computer modelling to accurately outline the shape of the upcoming Evoque Convertible. Made from aluminum and finished in a range of vivid colors, the wireframes show the Evoque’s evolution from coupe to convertible.

The 1:1 scale sculptures include 3D wheels as well as front and rear seats. A total of six Evoque Convertible wireframes have been produced with the aim of showing the public how the actual car will look in an urban environment. The wireframes will embark on a global tour before Land Rover unveils the new Evoque Convertible in November.

“The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is perfectly suited to the urban surroundings of a city like London and it’s the perfect place to showcase the world’s first luxury compact SUV convertible. The locations chosen reflect the refined and luxurious lifestyle of an Evoque Convertible customer – two attributes this vehicle delivers in abundance,” said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer.
