You know what was missing from the Gran Turismo franchise? A track editor to make bespoke playgrounds for those awesome Gran Turismo Vision cars.

The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is a marvelous car that can be driven on any circuit available in Sony’s Gran Turismo 6 video-game. But here’s the thing; the powerful French prototype was developed by its top-notch engineers to achieve (in game) speeds in excess of over 400 kph (250 mph) on four sections of the virtual Circuit de la Sarthe, which means that the car can’t use its main top-speed advantage on other technical tracks.

So, if you were to drive the Vision Gran Turismo at its limit, you could, theoretically, only do it on the famous Le Mans circuit. Well, not anymore, as Sony released a track editor along with its latest GT6 update. So yeah, take that Forza!

The idea is that new track data can now be created using a special app for tablets running Android or iOS, and then can be saved and imported into the actual game. Basically, now you can create a track with long stretches of road for the Bugatti Vision GT, for example.

The “GT6 Track Path Editor” app is available on Google Play and the App Store and all you need to do after downloading it is…buy a Playstation and the Gran Turismo video game (in case you haven’t got them already).

The Track Path Editor allows you to create a track by selecting from 4 different themes and it can be used in the game’s multiple playing modes, including Free Run, Arcade Mode, Open Lobby and Community Area.

Well, don’t just stand there; go play! And if you’re good enough, Sony will probably make you a racing driver like it did with Lucas Ordóñez (the guy in the video below).
