The 570S is McLaren’s idea of a sports car and this highly positive review by Steve Sutcliffe seems to confirm all the other good things we’ve heard about it.

He says he also gets why McLaren built it and that it is a bit of unexplored territory for the company. It is supposed to be easier to live with, but still fun and an overall more ‘analog-like’ experience from behind the wheel.

The ingredients are very similar to all other McLarens currently on sale, but according to Sutcliffe, the way they’ve been put together results in a particular product.

It’s the first McLaren with a Bower and Wilkins sound system and also (probably) the first not aimed at offering maximum performance – it’s more about feel and fun, plus it’s also the cheapest way to get into the exclusive automaker’s lineup.
