2016 Kia K900 Gets Entry-Level V6 Model And Updated Styling

Kia has announced a series of upgrades for the US-market 2016 K900, which is known as the K9 in South Korea and the Quoris in global markets

Alongside the existing 420 HP (426 PS) 5.0-liter V8, Kia has added a 3.8-liter V6, rated for 311 HP (315 PS), which is now offered as the entry-level version. The V6 is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels, returning a fuel economy of 17 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined.

Besides installing a new powertrain on the 2016 model, the South Korean brand announced a series of visual modifications for the car too, which include a revised grille, updated rear end design with chrome trim, different taillights, a new rear bumper and reshaped exhaust pipes. Wheel choices include 18-inch rims for the V6 and the 19-inch for the V8.

The flagship sedan’s interior is mostly carried over, but the company mentions an improved navigation system, working together with a 9.2-inch high-def touch screen, premium audio and UVO Luxury Services, allowing owners to control the climate system, to remotely start / stop the engine and to lock / unlock the doors using their smartphone app.

US pricing for the 2016 Kia K900 V6 hasn’t been released yet, but it will cost less than the $54,500 2015MY Premium V8, the previous entry-level version.
