In a slightly disappointing turn of events, BMW will not bring the new M2 Coupe to the LA Auto Show, or at least it wasn’t mentioned in their pre-show release.

Even though it was unveiled online more than a month ago, the new M2 that’s powered by a 370PS (365hp) 3.0-liter turbocharged six, has yet to make its public appearance. It’s schedule to go on sale in North America next spring.

However, BMW will try to make up for that with another “M” product, its new street-legal track racer, the M4 GTS, of which only 700 will be made available globally, with 300 examples to reach the US in spring of 2016, each priced at $134,200, including a $995 Destination & Handling fee. Joining the hardcore version of the M4 for their North American premieres will be the new 7-Series luxury sedan, the 3-Series eDrive plug-in hybrid and the second-generation X1 SUV, with the X5 xDrive40e PHEV and the i8 hybrid sports car tagging along for the motor show ride.
